New Challenge: S.C.U.L.P.T.U.R.E
Yup, the new project is to create a free-form sculpture!
Lots of questions pop up.... what is a free-form sculpture?
In short, it is a modern style three dimension visual art that is in irregular contour.
A wide variety of materials may be worked by removal such as carving, assembled by welding or modelling, or molded, or cast.
The theme for the sculpture is 'Harmony'.
It was a tough task for me as I never come into sculpture making before.
After brainstorming and struggles, an idea appears in my mind--- circle.
It is smoothly curved and has no edge, which indicates no conflict and disagreement, bringing the sign of harmony.
Bent iron wires into circles
Use aluminium foil to wrap the iron circles.
I named my sculpture 'Circles'.
It was formed by joining sixteen iron circles wrapped with aluminium foil.
These circles represent thirteen states and three federal territories of our country.
Although we are different in the aspects of races, religious, cultural and believes, we still manage to live together with peace and harmony.
[Even though we are different, we are one when we are together]
