Little Sketches

Langkawi Academic Trip

We had an academic trip to Langkawi Island on 23-25th November 2013. It was compulsory and part of RUS 104. Honestly, it was my first time being to Langkawi Island. My family went to it when I was small. I often heard my granny talked about the trip to Langkawi Island and I was longed to visit it. Surprisingly I got the chance to Langkawi Island with all the RUS 104 coursemates. It was a great trip, excluding the bad accomodation and insufficient food due to large number of us. Travel is always a good thing for me. It is a way that I leave the place I get bored with and go to the other place that people get bored of it. Leave a place that you are familiar with doesn't mean that you wouldn't come back again; Just that you need to find a reason to believe that you can't leave it. There are still a lot of stuff to be explored in Langkawi and I believe that I will come back again.

Little Whisper

Time is like a naughty child, keep running without feeling any fatigue. I could never stop it down. What I can do is chasing after it, over and over. At first, I could only feel excruciation and helpless because I never learn how to adapt my pace to it. I locked myself in a black box and struggled to be free. But I never be alone. Those I love and those who love me, they are my motivation. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I had forgotten since when I developed an interest in interior design. Maybe during childhood, the time I could express my imagination through scribbles. A child's thought is always the purest and straight forward. Maybe I already tied up myself with it at that time. During teenage, I still fond of it. There is a whisper inside my mind: JUST GO AND GET IT! Perhaps that is why I'm here, left my home and came here just to realize my childhood dream.

Something To Say About RUS 104

Time is like a broken-string kite, flying high away before you could realise and catch it. Slowly counting, I have been here for 115 days. My first semester of the first year in university has come to the end. During the whole semester, I spent the most time and effort on RUS 104 studio course.  Almost every new week I will get a new project. The projects are things that I never come to it before, nor heard of it or think of it. And this is where the life of a HBP-ian becomes interesting. From the first project where I needed to sketch my own self portrait and design my personal logo, I had a deep thinking about myself. Who I am? What is my personality? What is my strength and weakness?  Thanks to the project, I have figure out what I really desire for myself. Come to the next project, I learned to be more sensitive to our environment and get inspiration from it. Everything in nature could transform into a design, or nature itself is actually a great design. Open broad y

RUS 104 Performance and Awards Night 2013

Time flies. Finally it came to the final studio project of first semester- live performance. It was like a closing ceremony for our one-semester 'learning by doing' studio life and was  held at the Dewan Kuliah D USM. The theme for the performance night is 'The Lost Kingdoms'. Each major was given a specific Nusantara kingdoms and needed to design and wear the costumes according to the kingdom. Architecture- Srivijaya Interior design- Singhasari Urban and regional planning- Langkasuka Quantity surveying- Majapahit Building surveying- Pagaruyung Building technology- Mataram Construction management- Demak Besides that, each major have to come up with a ten minutes live performance, whether in form of acting, singing, dancing, artistic, musical theatre and so on. Singhasari is a strange word for me.  I knew nothing about this kingdom and wondering how should I dress up and perform. Google is always a good teacher whenever I need informations and refere

Exhibition Day

After one week preparation, now it is the day of exhibition! All the hardships, sweats and tears of the previous weeks are here. It was like a newborn child has grown up to an adult. No one could imagine what we have gone through unless he or she is also a HBP-ian. No doubt, HBP life is awesome!
